The Saskatoon Road Runners Association is a non-profit organization, which began in the mid-1970's, at the height of the nation-wide fitness awareness program: "ParticipAction". The SRRA has a proud history of organizing first-rate events, including one of the longest running marathons in Canada: the Saskatchewan Marathon, now in its 31st year.
The SRRA exists to ensure that the citizens of Saskatoon and area, and visitors, too:
The SRRA relies strictly on volunteers to keep the association's activities going, whether it's the SRRA's executive, elected yearly at the Annual General Meeting or the volunteer acting as a road marshal for a few hours during one of our road races. All of our volunteers and members are critical to the association's existence. Therefore, your involvement as a member and volunteer is encouraged and appreciated.
Visit the links on the left side of this page for more information about the SRRA and please consider joining us.
One important benefit of your membership is that you'll receive a weekly newsletter, giving you the latest SRRA news. Especially important in the newsletter will be a description of the following Monday's speed workout.
In the last few weeks, the newsletter editor has found that only a little over 50% of the weekly newsletters sent by e-mail are being opened. This is most likely due to filtering by members' e-mail spam filters.
We all know that spam filters have great value, but they can have a negative impact, too (such as interfering with you receiving our letter!). Therefore, remember that as an SRRA member:
If you have trouble, drop us a note and we'll try to help.
Do you have some
